We went on a photo date.

My Journal

Taking photographs regularly (not just when I’m getting paid for it) has been something I’ve had in the back of my mind for a while now… I don’t know why I’ve been putting it off because it’s so important! It helps you stay fresh, craft your vision, keep up creativity and stay true to yourself. Yesterday, my husband Sam and I went on a photo date just down the road from where we are living in Melbourne. Nothing special or particularly exciting, but it pushed me to look deeper. And I discovered beauty there. “Photography is the art of observation, finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I’ve found it has little to do with what you see, and everything to do with the way you see them.” Elliot Erwitt

  3. Yay for photo dates! I feel a bit geeky sometimes going on them, but it’s all in the name of creativity and fun! I just love all the blossom shots.

Gorgeous, creative shots. Observation opens your eyes to the extraordinary in the ordinary.
