How was your weekend? Good. How was yours? Good. How was your day? Good. How was yours? Good.
….Instant conversation stoppers! Lately I’ve been trying to remember to ask people what they got up to in the weekend, or “what did you do today?” rather than… “how was your weekend?” answer=”good”
So this was my weekend… :)
Cool old building opposite bus stop. This was one interesting bus trip… Decided I don’t really like buses.
We went to the Magnolia Square Market which was held at The Centre Ivanhoe – this was so amazing! Everything at this market was at such a high standard, all gorgeous. I loved meeting all the lovely business owners and checking out their products – all locally made & produced which I love. Sam also joined me…quite surprisingly didn’t complain once!
This was from the space Salvation Jane had set up. Salvation Jane is all about making your home look the best it possibly can – not by ditching your old stuff, but by reinterpreting whats already there. I love this idea. Their philosophy centers around injecting colour, adding and subtracting until the balance is right and YOUR personality is everywhere. LOVE!
I loved the Art Deco interior of this building!
Loved this Doiley Garland by Crayon Chick.
My ears pricked up when I was looking at these gorgeous bags by Monique – she was telling someone the leather was from NZ! Yay.
Flinders train station fun.
…then Sam had a go with shooting at 1.2 F-stop on my 50mm lens…
…better, apart from my slightly glazed over expression! :)
That’s right.
Other lovely things included Rock climbing- surprisingly…(maybe ‘lovely’ isn’t the best adjective to describe, but it was fun), Tapas at friends houses – LOVE Tapas! pancakes with berries & ginger syrup on Saturday morning & long walks on glorious blue sky summery Melbourne days.
I’ve recently joined the Pinterest craze…be warned – it is addictive! Check out my boards here. Have a wonderful week. x

Dear Kate,
What did I get up to on the weekend? I think you know! Thank you for posting these lovely pics…it was a joint effort for me, my colleague Heather Nette King and I joined forces for Mag Sq, and it was extremely rewarding.
Your work is beautiful, and I wish you well.
Thanks again, and best wishes,
JHX
Dang, 1.2 is tricky tricky! Welcome to the world of Pinterest. The second I found it I was instantly addicted – so many pretty things to pin, it’s a lovely little distraction from work ;)
