On Monday, I was so blessed to capture the beautiful wedding of Monique and Matt in Palm Cove, Queensland. I have known Monique for the same amount of time as my husband Sam. We were all in the same University Hostel, Mon’s room was right opposite mine! A few days before the wedding, we were all asked to write down our first memory of Mon at her hens night. I was honest, and admitted some of my first memories of Mon were not the greatest. Back in 2005, Mon was doing the same Uni course as the guy I had a huge crush on (Sam), and they walked to Uni together most days! Needless to say, I was a teeny bit jealous…! When out they were nothing more than friends (!) I started to get to know Mon as the amazing girl she is. I love her practical, caring nature. Her passion, drive, and loyalty. Although I only met Matt the day of their wedding, I can tell that he absolutely adores Mon for the beautiful person she is.

Mon & Matt, I couldn’t be happier for you both! I love that you met online, and the wonders of technology bought you together. Your wedding was a beautiful start in what’s sure to be a wonderful life together. I was so blessed to spend the day with you, thank you for trusting me with your memories! xxx
