Northern Club Wedding | Elissa & Lane

My Journal

Last month I travelled back to Auckland for the gorgeous wedding of Elissa and Lane. The girls stayed and got ready at Bella’s, a beautiful bed and breakfast in Ponsonby. When I arrived, there was an endless amount of lovely things to photograph…including Elissa’s stunning silver Collette Dinnigan wedding dress! Every detail was well thought out, completely classic and true to what winter wedding dreams are made of. The ceremony was held at St Patricks Cathedral in the city, with a very memorable petal throw upon exiting the church. I also loved the tin cans they had strung to the back of the London Taxis for their getaway. First stop for photographs was The Paddington in Parnell, where Elissa & Lane first met. Then, we headed under the shelter of a gorgeous historic university building, and beside a blossoming pink magnolia tree in Albert Park opposite. The reception was held at the Northern Club and the night was filled with heartfelt and hilarious speeches, glorious food, amazing music and plenty of dancing. Elissa and Lane, thank you so much for having me as your photographer. Your wedding reflected your amazing style, was effortlessly classic, family orientated and filled with love. What an honour to capture! I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness together xx
