When I moved to Brisbane, everyone told me “oh, there’s no good wedding venues in the city, all the best ones are on the Sunshine Coast or Byron Bay.”

Now, I completely agree that Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast have some BEAUTIFUL venues. But I knew that Brisbane had some amazing luxury venues to offer discerning Brides and Grooms, so I made it my personal mission to hunt down the best this city has to offer, and showcase them here.

I’ve photographed a couple of events at The Joinery in West End now, and both times I was blown away at how beautiful the space was.

At The Joinery it’s easy to create a unique and spectacular environment for your guests that will have everyone talking for days afterwards.

The Joinery has a stunning architecturally-designed white, metal lattice facade. Behind, is an expansive converted warehouse space flooded in natural light and featuring sky-high ceilings, exposed brick walls and polished concrete floors.

Raw finishes are perfectly complimented by contemporary accents, including seamless plywood joinery to which the venue owes its name, designer pendulum lighting and luxuriously appointed amenities.

Kate Dawes Flower Design created the floral masterpieces at this particular wedding, Avideas supplied the lighting to create a spectacular atmosphere to make guests feel incredibly special.
