A wonderful weekend.

My Journal

My sister came over from NZ to visit us in Melbourne this past weekend. We went to Daylesford after we picked her up at the airport on Saturday, then drove to the Mornington Peninsula on Sunday and of course we managed to squeeze in a bit (a lot) of shopping yesterday! Wombat House cafe in Daylesford is amazing! The open fireplace was definitely welcomed on the chilly autumn day. There were some incredible vintage shops in Daylesford! We bought some amazing Gatsby inspired vintage dresses, now I just need an event to wear them to! Quick walk around The Convent. Sunday! We drove down the Mornington Peninsula really early to soak in the Peninsula Hot Springs which was incredibly relaxing. There are so many pools in this place and they are all dotted around among the trees and set into the landscape. My favourite pool was on a hill overlooking the amazing landscape. In the afternoon after getting some lunch at Sorrento, we found the most incredible little beach! It’s called Kings Point. We ate our lunch out on the little jetty overlooking the pristine water, and spent about 3 hours just soaking in all the goodness of this beautiful place. I definitely want to come back here in summer! Eating the famous Sorrento Vanilla Slice from Just Fine Foods. Delicious doesn’t even begin to describe how amazing this is! Kings Point Beach, Mornington Peninsula Breathtaking beauty of Cape Schanck. We loved having Esther come and stay and it was so fun to show off the surrounds of where we are living! I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far, I can’t believe it’s Tuesday already! Sam is doing a talk in Sydney tonight so I’m off to hang out with my friend who’s husband is also away! xx –All photos taken on 5DMarkii + iPhone4–
