Jessie & Dion’s wedding date fell exactly 7 years after their very first date. They met at a 21st and later realised they had both been at another 21st party together a few years earlier!
When Jessie emailed me, she put emphasis on wanting their day to be FUN for their guests. They definitely made it happen! Hilarious speeches, songs, amazing food, and dancing into the wee hours, it was a day of endless laughter and good times.
Jessie and her bridesmaids prepared for the day in the most gorgeous little cabins tucked away at their venue, Waihi Waterlily Gardens. Walking to the ceremony was almost like a mini bush walk through the trees, over bridges and past waterholes. Jessie & Dion said their vows on a bank in the middle of the waterlily pond underneath a gorgeous Willow Tree.
Self described as obsessed with dessert, Jessie and Dion decided to have their cake served straight after the ceremony so their guests could really appreciate it. Dion used to work at the Chocolate Boutique in Parnell, and guests were treated with beautiful chocolates at their places in the reception.
Each of the tables was named after countries they have been around the globe, as Jessie and Dion love to travel. They’ve lived in NYC, London and went to India a few weeks before getting engaged. They even decided on their honeymoon destination (Mexico!) before organising the wedding!
Jessie & Dion, thank you guys for trusting me with capturing your memories. Your wedding was beyond fun, lots of love and appreciation! Kate x
