Believe it or not, Amanda and Scott first met in Primary School!! Of course they can’t remember much about those early years, although they did win a Science competition together and their photograph ended up in the newspaper! That same photo was displayed at their wedding, on the cake table. Fast forward (quite a few) years later, and Scott was proposing to Amanda in Paris (!), on one of their many overseas trips. Of course she said yes, and they set about planning their perfect wedding day.
Scott and Amanda lived in Melbourne when I was there, so we first met for an engagement shoot, about 2.5 years ago now! A few months before their big day, Amanda and Scott sent me an amazing stop motion film that Scott had made for their wedding invitation. These two don’t do things by halves, and it made me even more excited to photograph their wedding back in NZ.
Amanda looked so beautiful in her Rue De Seine Dress, with a gorgeous flower crown and bouquet from Miss Daisy, her look was complete. Scott was visibly overwhelmed to see Amanda for the first time when they had their first look amongst fruit trees, a few tears may have been shed! After a few photographs by Karapiro Lake with the Bridal Party, we were off to The Red Barn for the ceremony under a beautiful old tree. After dancing down the aisle as husband and wife, we left the guests to enjoy cocktail hour to sneak off for a few photographs on the gorgeous tree-lined driveway, catching the INCREDIBLE last rays of light. Amanda and Scott had a surprise first dance that included their bridal party, and got everyone into the party spirit!
Amanda and Scott are soon off on their next adventure to spend a couple of years in England! You guys, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your gorgeous day. I hope you have an amazing few years overseas together as husband and wife!! xx
