A couple of weekends ago I had a space at the Queensland Brides Expo in Brisbane! I’ll be honest, I was hesitant about doing the expo at first. It was my lovely husband who gently encouraged me to give it a go, and I’m very glad I did!
I’ve done expos and wedding fairs in the past when we were living in Auckland and Melbourne, but not for a while! I’m going to let you guys see my very first expo from 2010…keep reading, the link is at the bottom. I can honestly say, from looking back to the very first expo I did in 2010, I am proud of how far I’ve come. It’s a very real reminder to me to not despise small beginnings!
My lovely friend Jill was by my side almost the entire time, and she was an absolute freaking legend! Jill was responsible for the beautiful flower creations, and not only that – she is the friendliest person you will ever meet and such an asset to me at the expo – thank you so much Jill!
Expos and wedding fairs are a great opportunity to bring your brand to life within a 2×3 metre space, and while I did spend a few nights worrying about how it would all come together, I was so so happy with the outcome! I loved it, and was so sad to pack it all up at the end!
To all of the beautiful brides-to-be and (groom’s!) I had the pleasure of meeting, I absolutely LOVED chatting with you and I’m so excited for you!
A quick stop at the Flower Market on the way into the city, I was obsessed with these beautiful flowers and their colours! Jill and I in our high vis vests haha :)
Ready to meet you all!
The gorgeous sign was by talented Laura from Laura Elizabeth Design. I had some fresh sample albums made for the show, by Lone Pine Albums and I couldn’t be happier with them. I love how the photographs can go over the middle seam, and lie completely flat.
With my right hand girl!
Love you Jill! We had a lot of fun together :)
I ran a competition over the weekend to win an engagement shoot, and a beautiful planner by Blacklist. If you didn’t win, don’t worry! When you secure your date by April 30 2019 (if it’s still available) you will automatically receive an engagement shoot (worth $550) AND the planner, so email me and lets chat!
Loved how my stand turned out! I think it represents my brand to a tee! My dream is to have a little garden studio designed like this. One day!
If you need florals for any event, Jill is your girl! She is in the process of designing a new website at the moment, but email me and I’ll pass on her details!
So the funniest thing happened. I was unexpectedly RIGHT NEXT DOOR to my beautiful cousin Vanessa! How crazy is that. She sells lipstick, you can check her out here.
Thank you to everyone who helped me at the expo, and thank you Avideas for all of the amazing furniture! Okay. Are you guys ready for a throwback…?
Here is a link to my VERY FIRST expo from 2010… I was 23 years old, and so very fresh! Looking back, I’m proud of how far I have come. From fizzy heart lollies and black velcro walls. Have a wonderful Easter everyone. x
