Kayla Boyd is doing such important work in bringing women together, opening up and sharing vulnerable conversations so we can get the connection we all desire.

I think in-person events are important, especially today, with so much of our world being on our phones and social media, there is something so special about hearing someone story in person, looking them in the eye and actually connecting on a deeper level.

This was the second Find Your Fierce event I’ve photographed with the previous held at The Joinery. I was pretty excited to photograph at The Refinery this time, a gorgeous new venue in Newstead Brisbane. The Refinery is a beautifully renovated warehouse, I loved the marble bar, polished concrete, and the size of the venue that includes a beautiful outdoor space. I think The Refinery brings something special to Brisbane wedding venues, and have no doubt this will become a popular wedding and event space.
