I was so blessed to travel down to Wellington a few weekends ago and photograph Sarah and Warren’s wonderfully intimate wedding. Sarah and Warren chose not to have a bridal party, they even got ready in the same room at the Museum Art Hotel, surrounded by family and friends.
Sarah and Warren chose to commit their lives together in a beautifully personal ceremony at Boomrock. I can’t even begin to describe the majestic beauty of this place. Tucked away in the mountains just outside of Wellington, the windy gravel road is somewhat of an adventure to get there, but once you are at the top and see how jaw-droppingly beautiful Boomrock is, the drive is well worth it! Boomrock is one of the most beautiful locations I think I have ever had the privilege to photographed in.
Sarah looked incredibly stunning in her John Zimmermann gown, (kept secret from Warren!) and as she walked down the aisle on the clifftop overlooking the ocean at Boomrock, everyone was a little emotional! In typical Wellington style, the weather was a bit windy and showery on the wedding day. However, the weather made the reception feel more cozy, helped by the crackling fireplace, amazing food, and incredible scenery.
It was such an honour and joy to photograph Sarah and Warren’s special day, and I hope you enjoy some of the photos!
