On Sunday, I had the wonderful privilege to be involved in a beautiful wedding fair in Melbourne, One Fine Day. It was held at Abbotsford Convent, and our entire room was set up the morning of the fair, from 7am, because there was a wedding held in there the night before! So needless to say, it was an early start, but completely worth it! My stand was really simple, I wanted to focus purely on what I offered, my photography…and obviously myself too! I really wanted to chat with brides (and grooms!) about not only planning their day, but also about themselves as a couple and what an exciting season of life they were in! As well as meeting so many amazing brides and grooms to be, I had the honor of meeting some incredible people in this wedding world too which was beyond lovely! My space at One Fine Day was right next to Cherry Tree Bakehouse, who were providing tastings of their DIVINE cakes to people. Can I just say if you are looking for a cake for your wedding, look no further! Their cakes are some of the finest I have ever tasted, honestly! I also loved chatting with Emily from the gorgeous White Magazine about their philosophy on having a focus on marriage and relationships in their beautiful mag, as well as showcasing beautiful dresses, venues, fashion etc. They were inspired to use a quote they saw on a blog post I wrote a few weeks ago, “I want a marriage more beautiful than my wedding” which was so lovely. Speaking of marriage and relationships, I made little ‘Date Night Packs’ for everyone at the fair. It was great to see the smiles on peoples faces when they saw that their was popcorn inside! So I hope anyone reading this who received a date night pack, I hope you make use of it! Just follow the instructions inside :) All in all, One Fine Day was pretty fine indeed. I’ve had such an amazing response from the fair already, so thank you so much Jess, Nadean and Marissa for dreaming up such a wonderful event!
