If you figure something out that has helped you succeed in your life, do you think it’s wise to keep it to yourself? I don’t.

In fact, I think this world would be a better place if more people shared their stories, shared their failings, and shared their successes with others. It would feel less lonely and isolating, more positive, loved up and fulfilled.

If you are in business, do you believe in secrets? Do you believe there is a mysterious magic formula of success that some have, and others don’t? I believe there is no secret to success in business. Everyone is on a unique journey, carving a path to what they ultimately define as success. For some, that might mean a beautiful office with 5 employees, for others it might mean the freedom to stay at home with their kids.

I love listening to stories of how business owners, especially female entrepreneurs, got to where they are today. When I listen to a great interview, I feel less alone, more inspired, and ready to take on the day.

It’s no secret that I love to listen to podcasts. Most of the the podcasts I love are run by Americans mainly interviewing other Americans. I’ve noticed there is a gap in New Zealand for a small business interview podcast. There are so many inspiring, creative people in New Zealand and Australia, and I would love to create a platform for them to share their story…

BIG SCARY IDEA: I would like to start a podcast that focuses on interviewing NZ and Australian small business owners. I want to talk to them about business and life. What defines a perfect day for them. Do they have a morning routine? How do they focus and get things done? How do they stay creative and inspired?

Running a business isn’t easy. In fact, it’s downright hard sometimes! I know there have been days that I’ve wanted to throw in the towel and give up. I think everyone who has a business will be able to relate. It’s so easy to feel like you are completely alone.

I would love to create a platform where the words from others would uplift you in your business and life. To inspire you to take action, to teach you, inform you and hopefully entertain you.

I’m really excited (and nervous!) about this new idea. I’ve had it in the back of my mind for a while, and putting it out here on the blog is the first step to making it a reality.
