Jessica & James

My Journal

Jess & James had a magnificent wedding day. From Jess’s beautiful Jane Yeh dress to the gorgeous florals on the table, the most special details were in the genuine hearts of these two wonderful people and their amazing family and friends. It was when Jess’s dad saw her in her wedding dress for the very first time. It was right at the end of the night, where everyone was dancing without a care, Jess & James were locked in a beautiful embrace. These genuine, amazing moments that I get to capture. Those moments that sadly can be forgotten over time, if it weren’t for photographs reminding us. I feel blessed that I get to do this. Jess & James, thank you for the incredible privilege.  xx Special thank you to my amazing second shooter Lydia and the incredible wedding planner Alannah Haysmith for orchestrating such a wonderful event xx   James & the boys prepared for the day at Jess & James’ new home at Point Chevalier. Jess prepared at her parents house on the North Shore. The day was beautifully sunny, which was so perfect. The boys headed over to Crane Brothers for the final touch ups before the ceremony.   Jess was a breathtakingly gorgeous bride. Her Dad’s reaction. James’ reaction. We took a helicopter over to Waiheke Island to where the reception was, at Chardy Ridge. What an incredible experience to have on a wedding day! Studio Bloom did such an incredible job with the florals. We headed down from Chardy Ridge to Palm beach for the rest of the photographs. Jess’s family have a bach here, so it was a place filled with many memories. Jess you are such a beauty.     A few at the Bach. Jess’s Gran made the plum jam which was given to everyone. Chardy Ridge is such a gorgeous venue with amazing views of the sea and city.   What a wonderful day. xx
