A new magazine, Wedding Destinations, recently published Erin & Will’s wedding I shot in November at the Heide Muesum of Modern Art in Melbourne.

At the end of November, Sam and I travelled to Malaysia to photograph a wedding! To say I was excited was definitely an understatement. What an amazing time we had! I’m going to post more personal pictures from our adventures around Asia soon, but for now enjoy a few moments from Gigi & Chan’s lovely day. We were so grateful for the chance to photograph a wedding in completely new surroundings, new traditions and culture. Thank you Gigi & Chan for having us xx

Happy 2013!! I hope the first week of the year has been amazing for you! I’m typing this in our apartment in Melbourne with all the blinds firmly shut. We are supposed to have a 41 degree day today! Ouch. It seems so weird, coming from NZ, to not open all the windows…but here, that just lets the hot breeze come in! As I’ve been reflecting on the wonderful year just gone, I just want to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to all my lovely 2012 couples. What a blessing and privilege it has been to capture your beautiful weddings. You are the reason I love my job so much, so thank you!

I’m so excited to show you Cassie & Kyall’s beyond gorgeous wedding today, held at Port Phillip Estate on the Mornington Peninsula. These guys have just returned from a 5 week honeymoon in the Caribbean and the US. Welcome home you two! All the very best for a wonderful first year of marriage ahead xx

Jon and Leandri had been planning an engagement party for this day and just over a month before the quickly approaching date, they decided “let’s just get married instead!” Everyone was very impressed they pulled together such a stunning wedding in so little time. I adore the bright summery colours and effortless style Jon and Leandri have. Leandri wore a beautiful Rue de Seine dress and all the girls held paper bouquets, a great idea and keepsake from the wedding I think! I loved being part of your day Jon and Leandri, your love is completely pure, strong and so much fun! Lydia xx
