Check out my new website here http://www.katerobinsonphotography.com/ oh I’m excited! YAY!!!
Annnd…here is a sneak peak from Racquel and Juan’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL wedding last weekend.
Hope you are having a WONDERFUL day xx
When I heard my cousin Rachel was engaged I was beyond excited. I couldn’t wait to document their love and also their GORGEOUS little boy Luke. For their engagement session we walked to a beautiful Cove where Ryan had proposed to Rach over a picnic a few weeks earlier. I absolutely loved watching these two behind my camera, they have so much fun together I just know they will have amazingly bright futures. I can’t wait for your wedding, I know it’s going to be stunning! xxx
April 22, 2010 Auckland City Photo Shoot: Anna + Mitchell
You may remember in February I had a little competition for Valentine’s Day! See details here.
Anna & Mitch’s idea involved having photographs taken amongst the busy streets of Auckland, and the hustle bustle of city life. This amazing couple are from Hamilton and in their entry they said they come up to Auckland regulary to soak up it’s lifestyle! Love it!!! Hehe, usually it’s only people from Auckland that love Auckland, but we always welcome a bit of Hamilton loving
Anna & Mitch, I had an absolute BLAST spending time with you last Saturday, you guys have an amazing relationship and your photographs just make me smile. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Thanks for totally rocking it OUT!! Also a BIG thank you to my sis Lydia, who was a huge help on the shoot xxxxx
Totally in LOVE with Anna’s heels, theres nothing wrong with a healthy shoe addiction

April 19, 2010 Robinson Family Photos
This is my husband Sam’s side of our family. We wanted to get a family photograph done as a birthday present to Sam’s Mum, so over Easter weekend we organized everyone to come together on Jenny and Matt’s farm in Matamata for some photos. The only wee problem was that I had to be in the photo! So… out came the tripod + self timer!! I sort of shouted various instructions like ‘look natural’ ‘don’t look at the camera for this one’ ‘ok look at the camera’……etc etc….haha! I think they came out pretty well considering…
I can’t wait to get some printed, framed and on canvas for the Birthday girl
Hope you enjoy xx
Beautiful Jenny. The Robinson girls all have AMAZING eyes and such long eyelashes! Even Sam does, totally not fair!
I love this little family
Jesse & Zeke are growing up too quickly!
April 3, 2010 My Photoshoot
A few weeks ago I was in FRONT of the camera, and not just any old camera… the lovely, exceptionally talented, beautiful Fiona Anderson’s camera. I met Fiona at the Jasmine Star workshop in January. I had been following her blog for a little while, and had absolutely fallen in LOVE with her photography and the special way she captures her subject. There is magic in her photos, although they are usually simple, they are clean, pure, crisp and just plain AMAZING. I knew I wanted to have some photographs taken of me for the branding of my website which is yet to be launched… and I jumped at the chance of having Fiona take them! So after a flight to Christchurch and a 3 hour drive we met up and had the shoot. I really wanted to write about my experience behind the camera with a professional because alot of people before I photograph them inform me ‘ I’m really unphotogenic’ or ‘I hate having my photo taken’ and to be honest I really wanted to see what it would be like! Personally I LOVED it
I definately think it depends on who is behind the camera, and how they make you feel in front of their lens. I felt proud, I had fun, I felt beautiful (am I allowed to say that??), Fiona made me feel confident, I felt appreciative, I felt important, I felt like my dreams were shaping into reality, and I felt thankful to be in this profession.
I think as a photographer it’s important to get yourself photographed by a professional because how will you ever know how to relate to your clients if you have never been in-front of the lens? If I can make my clients feel even a little of how I felt in front of the camera, I think I would of succeeded.
To see some of the photos visit Fiona’s Blog more to come! Happy Easter xx
My husband and I went on a camping trip while we were down in the South Island, so here are some photographs because a post that has alot of words is always better with a few photos!
I told Sam he looked like he was modeling for Icebreaker when I took this
I’m not so fortunate!! This was outside our tent feeding a tame Weka our breakfast.
March 30, 2010 My beautiful Grandma 22.05.32 – 22.03.10
My Grandma was an incredible baker. I especially loved her amazing pavlova and mini Christmas puddings.
She taught me how to fold ingredients in a mixture for baking.
I remember the spearmint milkshake she bought me on a bustrip to Smith and Caughey’s.

This is me with all my Grandma’s

A more recent one with all of my sisters
Grandma was the most generous person I knew. She was everything a Grandma should be and more. Even though she will be missed, she has peace and is in a far better place because Jesus was her saviour. I will always remember her hearty laugh and the way she blessed so many lives with her many gifts. I am so thankful for all the memories I have of my Grandma, which I will treasure forever. xxx
I have known Emily since I was little. I call her parents Auntie and Uncle even though we aren’t related but sometimes the line between friends and family blurs. I love that, and I want more friends where the lines are blurred! That’s the best kind of friendship. Emily and Ants your wedding was spectacular. It was so unique and completely yours, I loved every minute
On the invitations all the girls were told to wear something in their hair, such a cool idea! You guys are going to have so much fun together, I feel privileged to have been able to photograph you both and your transparent love for each other. TWICE yusss
Enjoy xx
Why, yes I ADORED Emily’s shoes! Who says you need to wear white?!
Emily & Anthony were married at Wilson Home St. Leonards Chapel. Such a stunning location, and a beautiful day for a gathering in the garden opposite.
I was so happy for the chance to photograph this gorgeous couple who I have known for a little while now, Matt works as a doctor and Jill is a nurse so they are pretty busy people working in the health industry helping others every day so I thought it was awesome that they did something just for them
Jill originally emailed me saying as much as she loves her wedding photos (they were married just over a year ago-another photographer shot their wedding) there wasn’t any ones of her and Matt both looking at the camera that she particularly liked… So! Along with a few other shots I couldn’t resist…We solved that. Enjoy x
March 2, 2010 Cornwall Park Family Photographer, May Family
You may recognise this Family… I photographed Kerry and Aaron’s wedding in December! Kerry’s family wanted some photographs taken as soon they will be spread across the globe (not uncommon for this family) Kerry’s parent’s and her little brother Jared are moving to Abu Dhabi (hope I got that right!) You guys are a beautiful family inside and out, and I’m proud to have documented a little piece of your world
Enjoy x
