5 Things / January

My Journal

I’m pretty sure I would be a marketers dream. I’m one of those people marketers have coined ‘sneezers’ – as in, when I love a product or service I want to tell EVERYONE about it. I love sharing the things that are currently making my life more joyful, and I don’t often share the small things anywhere (except maybe occasionally on my Instagram).

I wanted to start a new series this year (inspired by Emily) named, ‘5 Things’.

At the end of every month, I will post a round up of the 5 things I have been particularly loving that month. Not only because of my desire to share the love around, but also to make me appreciate and document the small things. To remember to be truly grateful for everything, no matter how small, that makes up my life.

JANUARY //

5Things-January-1

Simplify by Bill Hybels // If you follow me on Instagram, or have read this post, you will know that I have been loving this wise book. Such a good one to start the year with, and to begin my reading goal of the year.

5Things-January-3 The Remains of my raw beetroot salad // Quite an abstract photo, but I love it. After Christmas, and being pretty relaxed about what I ate over the holidays, I’m trying to eat more salads and generally get healthy again.

5Things-January-5 Hamilton Gardens // Last Friday, I photographed Geraldine & Mark’s wedding at Hamilton Gardens (look out for their blogpost tomorrow!) I had forgotten how amazing this place is! It’s actually where Sam and I had our wedding photos taken too :)

5Things-January-9 Gold Class Movies // We were lucky enough to receive a few of these vouchers for Christmas. It was my first time experiencing Gold Class, we went twice this month, and I’m not sure how I will ever go back to regular movies.

5Things-January-10 Mini Hair Straightener // I have been loving this little bargain! I purchased it on sale for less than $20 and it’s tiny, and lightweight making it perfect for travel. I think because I have quite fine hair, it works surprising well. I love curling my hair with it too!
