Craig and Marina met over seven years ago, in high school! Marina was on a high school exchange from Germany. After an amazing summer together, Marina sadly had to go back home to Germany, and they were in a long-distance relationship for two years before she finished school and moved back to NZ! Fast forward a few years, and they were engaged at Omaha Beach.
The girls and guys prepared next door to each other on the wedding day. When Marina was ready and looking absolutely incredible in her Grace Loves Lace dress, and her beautiful flower crown made by Floral Stylist, she met Craig for a sweet First Look, before everyone bundled into the Kombi Van to the clifftops overlooking Muriwai Beach, for more photographs. Kumeu Valley Estate was where they promised forever to each other, in one of the most emotional ceremonies I think I have ever witnessed! Craig and Marina train a guide dog, Tally – so she joined them as they walked down the aisle as husband and wife in a shower of bird seed.
Marina actually studied Graphic Design at AUT, just like I did! She is really passionate about design and decorating, and made all of the beautiful stationery as well as styled their reception! If you are after a talented designer for your wedding, get in touch with her! You can check out her website here. There were lots of little DIY details at the reception, from mini succulents in copper buckets for guests to take home, terrarium centrepieces, and ‘recovery packs’ for guests as they left for the night, after sending Marina and Craig off in a sparkler exit.
