Amanda & Nick’s wedding day was on the most gorgeously warm day! It was so lovely to see some sun in NZ after lots of rainy weekends. When I arrived at the marquee to photograph all the reception details before heading to Amanda’s, I was blown away with how beautiful everything was! I absolutely love marquee weddings because you start with a blank canvas, and can personalise details easily. I loved the table settings, and the little boxes Amanda had made with homemade fudge inside. Amandas mum made the pretty flag bunting, many hours were put in! Their wedding was held at the Fountain Gardens in Tauranga. Amanda was keen to find a field for photographs and I was so thankful I found the perfect spot 2 minutes from the venue! An easily accessible (no fences to climb), beautiful overgrown field of wildflowers! Perfect. I’m so excited to show you their amazing wedding, there are lots of images here…I couldn’t decide! Any professional wedding photographer at the moment (in the southern hemisphere) will tell you that this is the busy season! Once you start photographing weddings every weekend, the to-do lists become longer and longer, and it’s easy to lose track of what needs to be done each day. A little while ago, I saw a post on Kiki about making a visual workflow board so I’ve made one for myself! I’m currently living at my parents house in NZ over the summer, so I have taken over their office which they don’t really use anymore luckily! I love seeing exactly what needs to be done, right in front of me. Not scribbled on endless bits of paper or hidden on my computer! There is no escaping it, which hopefully leaves less room for procrastinating…and I love the satisfaction of ticking things off!

My board isn’t very pretty, I just made it with a whiteboard. You could get a cork board, cover it with fabric and use pins as markers… My board has space for 10 clients at a time down the side, and my workflow begins with Booking Form received, right through to Album delivery, so I’ll always know where I’m at! xx

I am so excited to show you this beautiful vibrantly-styled wedding! Jen & Tom were wed on Tom’s family property in Queenstown, surrounded by snow covered mountains. Their reception was held at Arrowtown Athenaeum Hall, which was decorated to perfection! I loved all the bright colours, the quirky mustache details and vintage elements used on the tables. Jen & Tom, thank you SO much for having me at your wedding. What an amazing privilege it was to capture your gorgeous day, enjoy the photos xxx

Tom sent over a gift to Jenny in the morning. It turned out to be a sweet little note and socks (in case Jen’s feet got cold)

A few weekends ago we went Blueberry picking. One of my first ever jobs was picking fruit (melons) and after a while I couldn’t stand the sight of them… Not so with Blueberries, I could eat them by the truckload. And that I did. One for the bucket….five for my mouth…

Philippa & Justin were married last Thursday in beautiful Matakana. In true NZ style we had a bit of rain, a bit of sun, a bit of cloud….but nothing could dampen Philippa & Justin’s spirits. They were truly excited to get married and I’m so thankful I got to witness and capture their beautiful wedding day. Special thanks to Amber for helping me on the day xox

I first met Amber last April at a cafe in Mt Eden to discuss her wedding for March 2012 on Waiheke Island. At the time, Amber was working for GHD Hair. She was completely busy, enjoying the job…. but she knew deep down there was something missing. Amber is so inspiring to me. She is a big believer in following your heart and following your dreams because life is too short! Amber had always been interested in photography, but after a friends wedding where she had been asked to do a photo booth, a spark of an idea was born…..which eventually turned into The Invisible Photobooth! I love that Amber is so passionate about what she has created. The Invisible Photobooth was at my cousin Jess & Jedd’s wedding in December and it was SO MUCH FUN! Amber also took Polaroid photographs of everyone to stick into a Guest Book on the night, so people could write little notes by their photos to the bride and groom! So if you want to have a wedding reception that will keep everyone entertained, and also have a fun Guest Book as a keepsake… you have to check out The Invisible Photobooth! Amber, I’m so proud to call you my friend. I cannot WAIT for yours and James’ wedding in March!  xxx

I had the honour of photographing my cousin Bek’s wedding to Linc at Sirromet on the Gold Coast a few weeks ago. When I got to meet Bek’s self professed ‘man of her dreams’ a few days before the wedding, I was blown away by how friendly Linc was and it was so lovely to see how smitten they were for one another. I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness xxx
